Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer Professional Engineer License

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) License to join our team at Gem Care Inc. in Knoxville, TN.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a minimum of eight (8) years of Mechanical Engineering experience in a related field of Construction, Engineering, Power Generation, Energy, or Substations. They will be responsible for designing and engineering power generation facilities mechanical systems, including engineering calculations, stress analysis, hydraulic analysis, and tank and vessel design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing design criteria and performing calculations on various systems and software packages
  • Stress Analysis of piping systems, custom piping components, or fabrication assemblies utilizing AutoPIPE, Caesar II, Paulin PRG, Nastran, Inventor, and/or Solidworks
  • Hydraulic Analysis of pump and piping system analysis utilizing manual methods, PipeFLO, or Fathom
  • Aiding in the development and presentation of detailed design models utilizing AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Inventor, Solidworks, Revit, and/or Navisworks
  • Tank and Vessel Design in accordance with ASME BPVC and API Standards
  • HVAC design and equipment selection
  • Major and Minor equipment specification and datasheet development
Requirements:
  • BSME from an ABET accredited college/university
  • Minimum of Eight (8+) years of experience in piping and plant design
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License Required
  • Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards including but not limited to ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, NFPA, ANSI, and API
