Job SummaryWe're seeking a skilled Per Diem Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a key member of our veterinary care team, you'll provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our doctors and nurses, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities- Triage patients and recognize medical emergencies and illnesses
- Assess patients, record vitals, and assist doctors with diagnostics
- Complete treatments as instructed by the doctor and provide basic husbandry and nursing care
- Monitor changes in patients and provide compassionate care
- Perform blood draws, place catheters, and assist with radiography capture
- Prepare samples for outside reference labs and run in-house labs
- Prepare and administer medications
- Comfortable with computers and online tools
- Strong enough to lift 50 lbs
- Thoughtful and fearless team player
- Skilled at communicating with clients
