Position Overview

Salary: $70,000 to $82,000 Based on Experience

Role Summary:

The Attorney will deliver legal advocacy to low and moderate-income clients in Family Court and Supreme Court, focusing on matrimonial disputes and various family-related issues across Monroe, Orleans, and neighboring counties, particularly assisting victims of domestic abuse. This role offers the chance to collaborate with a team of professionals devoted to the mission of providing exceptional civil legal services to underserved populations. Responsibilities encompass direct representation, legal guidance, community engagement, education, and training.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (Candidates admitted to the NYS Bar and those eligible for a judicial practice order are encouraged to apply)
  • Strong initiative, self-motivation, and organizational skills
  • Proficient legal research and writing capabilities
  • Effective negotiation skills
  • Ability to communicate thoughts and ideas clearly and accurately
  • Empathetic and respectful approach towards clients
  • Collaborative mindset to work effectively with colleagues and community partners
  • Access to reliable transportation
