Assistant Manager Role
As an Assistant Manager, you will lead by example, embodying our company's values and principles. You will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and fostering a positive work environment. Your expertise will be crucial in achieving store goals, including financial objectives, talent management, and operational controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Drive sales growth through effective merchandising, visual displays, and customer engagement.
- Implement and maintain operational controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to achieve business objectives, including talent management, inventory control, and customer service.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
- Monitor and analyze sales data, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Communicate effectively with associates, customers, and management, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
Requirements
- 6 months to 1 year of specialty retail experience, preferably in a selling environment.
- Prior management experience is preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication, supervisory, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English; other languages are desirable.
- High school diploma (or equivalent) is required.
Working Conditions
This role requires frequent movement throughout the store, including prolonged standing, walking, and bending. You will also be required to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds, with assistance. The ability to climb an 8-foot ladder and retrieve merchandise displayed above shoulder level is also necessary. This role requires constant interaction with coworkers, customers, and other members of the public.
