Job Summary
The University of Pennsylvania is seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our Nuclear Medicine Department, you will be responsible for leading the safe and effective use of radioactive materials in Scintigraphy and Positron Emission Tomography scans on equine patients.

Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations governing the use of radioactive materials.
Operate and maintain the gamma camera and PET scanner, ensuring diagnostic image acquisition, reconstruction, and storage in the PACS server.
Conduct daily quality assurance testing and maintain accurate records for inspections and audits.
Collaborate with clinicians and engineers on research projects involving nuclear technology.
Train staff and other personnel in the safe use of nuclear medicine equipment and radiation safety practices.

Requirements
Associate's Degree in Nuclear Medicine and 4-5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) certification.
Strong understanding of radiation physics, nuclear chemistry, and safety regulations.
Proficient in operating specialized nuclear equipment and software for data analysis.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in both team settings and independently.
