Expected salary range of $106,200 to $118,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

 

This position can be located out of our corporate office in Kennett Square, PA or Crane Clean Energy Center in Middletown, PA (near Harrisburg, PA). 

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Supervise the implementation of the Access Authorization, Fitness for Duty and In-Processing Program elements in accordance with Code of Federal Regulations, Site Security Plan committed to documents, and Exelon Procedures and Policies. Review potential denial of unescorted access cases for individuals maintaining access at Exelon nuclear stations. Provide daily supervision of regional reviewing officials' activity. Provide day-to-day governance and oversight of regional access authorization, FFD, and inprocessing. Coordinate corporate reviewing official support during outage inprocessing periods at the nuclear sites.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of Access, FFD, and Inprocessing team consisting of four (4) Exelon employees as well as oversight of several contractors. Regional leadership of Site AA/FFD/Inprocessing programs using the GOSP management model.
  • Supervise the review process of individuals requesting unescorted access/authorization by Exelon regional Reviewing Officials. Supervises and determines the final access decisions for individuals requesting access. Determines and recommends final access decisions for individuals maintaining unescorted access within designated region and maintain the companies unescorted access denied list.
  • Support site In-processing by working with outage management within designated stations to implement cost effective in-processing and interface with Major Mod Contractors, contractors and building trade Business Agents related to process improvements for In-Processing. Coordinate corporate reviewing official support during outage In-processing periods at the nuclear sites
  • Regional point of contact for HR, ECP, SLT, Legal, and BSC Security regarding issues or investigations for individuals maintaining UAA/UA with Exelon Nuclear. Point of contact for INPO, other utilities regarding the transfer of background information for transfers, PADS and suitable inquiry requests. Primary point of contact for contractor/vendor in regard to performance, process changes, and software changes.
  • Review, prepare and present potential denial cases for individuals maintaining access to Corp Security Management for concurrence. Review and prepare denial Appeal paperwork for the company Appeal Reviewer.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates Degree or higher
  • Six (6) or more years of industry experience with two (2) or more of those years performing confidential background investigations, fitness for duty program management, or similar tasks.
  • In-depth knowledge of Exelon Nuclear Access Authorization, Fitness for Duty, and Inprocessing processes and procedures for purpose of training and overseeing corporate and site programs.
  • Must qualify as Exelon Nuclear Supervisor with successful completion of Supervisory training program
  • Available for travel (10%)
  • High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor Degree
  • Eight (8) or more years industry experience with five (5) or more of those years performing confidential background investigations, fitness for duty program management, or similar tasks.
  • Nuclear Security experience.
