Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess well-rounded technical skills in various areas of veterinary medicine, including radiology, anesthesia, surgery, emergency case triage, critical care, patient care, hospital cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain thorough histories from pet owners
  • Assess patient stability and obtain accurate vitals
  • Assist veterinarians in routine examinations and procedures
  • Administer medications, anesthesia, and monitor patients
  • Collect and perform in-hospital laboratory tests, including bloodwork
  • Prepare and maintain sterile technique for procedures and instruments
  • Position pets for radiographs and obtain images with correct technique while following radiation safety
  • Educate pet owners on diagnosis, care, and post-treatment instructions
  • Collaborate with fellow team members to provide exceptional patient care
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment
Requirements
  • Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) preferred but not required
  • Experience working in an urgent care/specialty hospital preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in anesthetic drug administration and monitoring
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Compassion and empathy for pets and their owners
