Performing Arts Educator

City of Boise, ID is seeking a qualified Performing Arts Instructor to join our team.
Job Summary:We are looking for a skilled and experienced Performing Arts Instructor to teach a variety of performing arts classes to youth and adults in a classroom or studio environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performing arts, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with students of all ages and skill levels.
Responsibilities:- Instruct performing arts classes in a variety of mediums, including ballet, tap, hip hop, and theater.
- Develop and implement lesson plans, supply gathering, and classroom/project preparation and clean-up.
- Work with supervisor to develop curriculum based on the particular performing art medium being taught.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students during classes.
- Interact with the public and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner.
- 3 years' experience teaching performing arts classes.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- State-issued driver's license.
The Performing Arts Instructor will work in a variety of settings, including classrooms and studios. The position requires standing, walking, and pushing/pulling up to 10 pounds. The noise level is frequently moderate.
