Nursing Education Specialist

Unitek Learning is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nursing Education Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our nursing program, you will be responsible for assisting students in a full-time position, preparing and administering examinations, and grading student performance.
Key Responsibilities- Assist students on campus in a full-time position, working collaboratively with other instructors to prepare, administer, and grade examinations for the course.
- Participate in the preparation of final evaluations for the course, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate records of student attendance and grades, submitting reports to the Director of the program in a timely manner.
- Plan and implement orientation for new faculty in both theory and clinical facilities, ensuring a smooth transition for new staff members.
- Utilize principles of teaching that recognize the characteristics of the adult learner, making continuous efforts to improve the quality of instruction.
- Demonstrate or acquire skills for utilizing online activities as enhancers to course content/material during interactive teaching and learning.
- Maintain student records of attendance, skills check-off forms, and assist with program data collection.
- Submit required program reports and forms to the Director of the program in a timely manner.
- Keep current with new technologies and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Participate in committee activities that support the mission and function of the nursing program.
- Attend faculty meetings, contributing to the development of program policies and procedures.
- Plan and supervise student clinical experience in assigned healthcare facilities, evaluating student performance in relation to clinical learning outcomes.
- Provide feedback on clinical performance or specific events immediately after observation, ensuring student growth and development.
- Assist in maintaining student records of clinical attendance, skills check-off forms, and assist with program data collection.
- Responsible for ensuring clinical assignments meet both student and facility needs, determining the best method to observe, instruct, and evaluate students.
- Determine if clinical facilities meet all health and safety requirements for Unitek College students to attend clinicals.
- Provide access to students for ongoing communication through scheduling of office hours, electronic communication, and other appropriate methods.
- Participate in student advising activities, providing guidance and support to students.
- BSN degree
- 3 years bedside experience as an RN in the field
