Job Title: Lead Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at MaineHealth. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for supervising a team of APPs, coordinating workflow, and providing medical care to patients in accordance with established standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and mentor a team of APPs to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient workflow.
  • Coordinate staffing levels and review/approve time cards for assigned staff.
  • Provide medical care to patients, including taking medical histories, performing physicals, and developing care plans.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and department efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • BSN required; MSN preferred.
  • Five years of Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant experience preferred.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
