About the Role

CBRE is seeking a highly skilled Senior Building Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing complex preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs, and installations of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC/R equipment and systems.

Working under general direction, you will supervise building system operations and performance, ensuring that all systems are functioning efficiently and effectively. You will have critical knowledge and expertise in HVAC/R, electrical, and mechanical systems, and will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and installations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs, and installations of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC/R equipment and systems.
  • Supervise building system operations and performance, ensuring that all systems are functioning efficiently and effectively.
  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and installations of building systems, including HVAC/R, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Coordinate and inspect the work performed by outside contractors.
  • Perform niche and sophisticated tasks such as carpentry, electrical, painting, roofing, HVAC, welding, furniture assembly/relocation, and locksmith tasks.
  • Perform inspection of building systems, including fire alarms, HVAC/R, plumbing, and electrical.
  • Use PC and/or PDA for work order system, email, ESS, and training.
  • Respond to emergency situations and customer concerns.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and trade school or training.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years experience in electrical systems, refrigeration, and/or HVAC/R (refrigeration) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Stationary Engineering experience that focuses heavily on HVAC/R, Electrical, Boiler & Chiller Operation and Maintenance.
  • EPA Universal 608 certification preferred.
  • Additional certification in one or more of the following: electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair.
