Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate document reviews and productions, including indexing, bates-labeling, and quality assurance.
  • Manage case files effectively, organizing and maintaining pleadings, correspondence, deposition transcripts, and exhibits for easy access by attorneys.
  • Update and maintain file indexes to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
  • Retrieve necessary documents from courts and relevant agencies.
  • Assist in the preparation of legal documents, including exhibits and filings.
  • Organize and maintain various document binders, including those for witness preparation and specific topics.
  • Conduct database searches to locate requested documents efficiently.
  • Summarize depositions and perform searches within deposition transcripts.
  • Utilize research tools such as Lexis and Westlaw for legal research.
  • Support cite-checking initiatives as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation of materials for trial.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by Firm management.

Qualifications:

  • Commitment to a two-year tenure.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Previous experience in a law firm or possession of a paralegal certificate is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Service-oriented mindset with a focus on building effective working relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Availability for overtime work.

Reports To: Paralegal Supervisor

Compensation: $60,000

Status: Non-Exempt
