Tax Associate, State and Local Tax Specialist

At KPMG, we're seeking a talented Tax Associate to join our State and Local Tax practice. As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work with high-profile clients, develop your skills, and contribute to innovative tax solutions.
Responsibilities- Assist multi-state companies with state and local tax issues, including compliance, consulting, planning, and controversies.
- Research and draft state and local tax technical memoranda.
- Supervise the work of shared services team members and interns.
- Analyze, prepare, and review tax workpapers and returns, estimated payments, and extensions.
- Stay current on state and local tax legislative, judicial, and administrative developments.
- Pursuing or have obtained a degree in accounting, finance, taxation, mathematics, economics, information technology, data and analytics, or engineering.
- Strong tax research skills and a demonstrated quality service mindset.
- Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills.
- Ability to learn and navigate technologies such as artificial intelligence, Alteryx, and Power BI.
