We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our esteemed healthcare team, specializing in the Renal Oncology department. This role involves providing exceptional nursing care to patients undergoing chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments.

Job Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering direct nursing care, ensuring adherence to established protocols for chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
  • Implementing and monitoring individualized patient care plans, while effectively communicating patient conditions.
  • Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Documenting and executing physician and nursing orders accurately.
  • Assessing patients for potential side effects and managing allergic reactions to treatments.
  • Practicing safe handling of cytotoxic agents and managing any spills appropriately.
  • Performing blood draws and utilizing various types of intravenous access devices and programmable pumps.
Qualifications

Licensure and Certification:

  • Certification in Chemotherapy from the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) is required within 30 days of hire.
  • Registered Nurse licensure from the Tennessee Board of Nursing is mandatory prior to hire.
  • BLS Provider certification is preferred.

Education:

  • A diploma from an accredited nursing school or equivalent professional licensure is required at the time of hire.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in Hematology/Oncology is preferred.
  • Prior experience with chemotherapy administration is advantageous.
  • Recent RN experience within the last year is preferred.
