Job Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer specializing in Supplier Management to join our team at L3Harris Technologies.

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring that all products and services provided meet the required standards and specifications. This position involves the design, implementation, assessment, and continuous enhancement of quality assurance methodologies and systems.

The engineer will convert design specifications and contractual obligations into a clear and actionable quality assurance plan. This includes monitoring and supporting manufacturing, inspection, and supplier operations to uphold product quality standards. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with customers to establish quality requirements and oversee material review board activities, as well as participating in audits and product evaluations to assess the effectiveness of the quality assurance framework.

This position is focused on supplier engagement and quality oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

This role necessitates the employee to be located in a region that allows for travel to various supplier sites.

- Conduct site visits to suppliers to assess product and process challenges.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering, manufacturing, and procurement, to ensure compliance with all requirements.
- Analyze supplier operations and documentation to verify adherence to purchase orders, engineering specifications, and quality standards.
- Perform investigations and root cause analyses at supplier locations to drive process improvements.

- Maintain accountability for the performance of assigned suppliers, ensuring they achieve a 100% quality rating.


- Actively participate in Early Supplier Engagement initiatives, including Post Award Reviews and Supplier Manufacturing Readiness Reviews.

- Lead efforts in addressing issues related to purchase order inspection packages.
- Compile and present supplier quality history as required by management.
- Develop reporting tools to track supplier performance, non-conformance history, and other relevant metrics.
- Engage in managing the supplier ratings and scorecard system, facilitating regular review meetings.
- Conduct periodic inspections at designated supplier locations.
Travel may constitute up to 50% of the role.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, or a Graduate Degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, a minimum of 10 years of experience in Quality Engineering may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Skills:


- J-STD-001 Certification is preferred.
- Experience in problem-solving, root cause corrective action (RCCA), and investigation methodologies.
- Certified Quality Engineer designation is strongly preferred.
- Proficient in synthesizing and analyzing data from multiple sources to inform action plans.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with interpersonal abilities to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
