Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Trigo ADR Americas. As a key member of our supplier quality organization, you will be responsible for executing and expanding on key initiatives to ensure the highest level of quality and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Supplier Audits: Assess suppliers' manufacturing and quality processes through audits, ensuring compliance with standards such as AS9100 and other relevant regulations.
  • Lead MRB Activities: Manage and support Material Review Board (MRB) activities to achieve optimal disposition of non-conforming material and implement corrective actions.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Perform on-site supplier visits to analyze and resolve quality issues, ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote and facilitate the use of customer-preferred techniques, such as Lean, Six-Sigma, and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), to drive continuous improvement.
  • Supplier Performance Management: Develop and maintain detailed reporting of supplier performance and quality improvement progress, ensuring timely and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Special Projects: Undertake special projects as required, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive systemic changes and enhance supplier quality and delivery performance.
Requirements
  • Experience: 8+ years of hands-on experience as a Quality Engineer in an Aerospace Manufacturing Environment.
  • FAI Experience: 5-8 years of experience with AS9102 (FAI) standards at a quality engineering level.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of various engineering processes, standard drawings conventions, and interpreting drawing specifications and GD&T.
  • Quality Management Systems: 5-8 years' experience with the ISO 9100 and AS9100 Quality Management Systems Processes, especially in production, quality, and logistics.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of FAA, EAR, and ITAR standards and regulations.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Strong verbal, written, and communication skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Quality Engineering Tools: Prior practical experience and implementation of Quality Engineering tools and systems, such as DOE, FMEA, SPC, RCCA, APQP, PPAP, and controls plans.
  • Education and Certifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a technical discipline, such as Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Quality Management, and relevant professional certifications, such as ASQ or Six Sigma.
Working Conditions

Incumbents must perform work in an efficient, effective, and timely manner with minimal direction. Typical office conditions, directly working with the Quality management team, working with the SMS team, and external customers. Occasional extended hours and weekend overtime may be required.
