Job Title: Prep and Recovery Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Prep and Recovery Registered Nurse to join our team at Bronson Healthcare. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Job Summary:

The Prep and Recovery Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the perioperative setting. This includes preparing patients for surgery, administering anesthesia, and providing post-operative care. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for surgery by administering medications, conducting pre-operative assessments, and ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical procedures.
  • Provide post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and monitoring vital signs.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless transitions between pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
  • Document patient information, including medical history, medications, and treatment plans.
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Michigan.
  • 2+ years of experience in a perioperative setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
