Tact Staff is currently seeking a travel nurse RN specializing in Hospice for an exciting travel nursing opportunity. This role involves providing compassionate care to patients in their homes.
Position Overview & Requirements- Specialty: Hospice
- Discipline: RN
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Shift Length: 12 hours
- Employment Type: Travel
Role Responsibilities:
The travel nurse will coordinate and oversee home nursing care in accordance with physician orders and agency policies. This includes:
- Supervising and evaluating home health aides and licensed practical nurses.
- Conducting home visits and attending periodic office meetings.
- Maintaining reliable transportation and necessary insurance.
Patient Care: The average number of patients per day is between 5-8, with a points system for visits and activities. The contractor will be assigned 5-10 patients daily, contributing to productivity expectations.
Experience Requirements: A minimum of one year of experience in adult home health or hospice care is required. Recent specialty experience is necessary.
Certifications: CPR and BLS certifications are mandatory.
Travel Expectations: The role requires traveling up to 75 miles from the home clinic, with mileage reimbursed at the IRS standard rate.
