Job Title: Athletic Trainer

About the Role:

The Massachusetts Pirates are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Athletic Trainer to join our team. As a key member of our Medical Support Staff, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our athletes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical support to our athletes, including injury evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation.
  • Develop and implement rehabilitation programs to aid in the recovery of injured athletes.
  • Collaborate with our coaching staff and other medical professionals to ensure the best possible care for our athletes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of athlete health and injuries.
  • Ensure compliance with league standards and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare partners to provide optimal care for our athletes.
  • Prepare equipment and necessary treatments for practices and games.
  • Maintain a clean and organized training room.
  • Travel with the team to away games as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Certification as an Athletic Trainer.
  • Experience with stretching, taping, and other sport-related rehabilitation practices.
  • Organized and available to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Able to handle confidential information in an appropriate manner.
  • Ability to respond to management directions and follow instructions effectively.
  • Self-starter with excellent follow-through and judgment.
