Role Overview

The Accountant in our Burlington office will oversee the daily accounting functions for a diverse portfolio of insurance companies. This role requires collaboration with a team of experts to ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of financial statements for various accounts
  • Completion of regulatory filings and premium tax submissions
  • Development of materials for annual Board meetings
  • Reconciliation of loss and investment reports
  • Management of cash flow for assigned accounts
  • Support for audits and examinations of captive entities
  • Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports and regulatory submissions

As a Senior Accountant, you will engage directly with client teams across multiple departments, including controllership, risk management, and legal. This position provides an opportunity to enhance your expertise in financial reporting, insurance, and compliance while developing essential soft skills.

Qualifications for Success

  • Experience in financial statement preparation adhering to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
  • Experience managing multiple projects concurrently
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or equivalent experience
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment

Educational Requirements

A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
