Position Overview:

Compensation: $2,500 SPED IA Stipend

Primary Objective:

To deliver educational support to students under the guidance of a certified educator. Aid in the preparation, execution, and management of classroom activities.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

48+ Earned College Credits, Associate's Degree, Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree from a U.S. Department of Education recognized accredited institution (Preferred).

OR High School Diploma, contingent upon passing the formal academic assessment as mandated by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Ability to assist in teaching reading, writing, and mathematics.

Ability to effectively engage with children.

Strong communication skills.

Experience:

Some experience in working with children is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Instructional Support:

1. Deliver instruction to students under the teacher's direction; work with individual students or small groups.

2. Assist the teacher in preparing educational materials and classroom displays.

3. Aid in the administration and scoring of objective assessments or assignments.

4. Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.

5. Assist with the inventory, care, and maintenance of educational equipment.

6. Support the teacher in keeping administrative records and preparing necessary reports.

7. Provide orientation and assistance to substitute educators.

Student Management:

8. Supervise students throughout the school day, both inside and outside the classroom, including during lunch, on the bus, and on the playground.

9. Inform the teacher of any special needs or concerns regarding individual students.

Additional Responsibilities:

10. Engage in staff development training programs to enhance job performance.

11. Participate in faculty meetings and special events as assigned.

Other Duties:

12. Perform any additional responsibilities as assigned by your immediate supervisor.

Salary Information: Compensation will be based on the candidate's experience and educational background.

No Degree/High School Diploma: $17,340 - $20,400

48+ College Credits/Associate's Degree: $18,870 - $21,930

Bachelor's Degree/Master's Degree: $20,910 - $23,970
