Special Education Teacher Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Special Education Teacher Apprentice to join our team at the Houston Independent School District. As a key member of our special education team, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special needs.
Key Responsibilities- Assist and support special education teachers in providing educational services to students with special needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of students.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide academic and behavioral support to students, including one-on-one instruction and small group work.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a smooth and successful educational experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
- Experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Passion for supporting students with special needs and promoting inclusive education.
