Staff Registered Nurse RN CVU Cardiovascular Unit

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse RN to join our team in the CVU Cardiovascular Unit. As a Registered Nurse RN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Job Summary:The Registered Nurse RN will be responsible for overseeing patient care provided by the healthcare team, conducting detailed clinical assessments, prioritizing patient and family needs, creating, implementing, and evaluating care plans. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of nursing and patient care standards, as well as procedures, and be proficient in medical terms, focusing on health, disease prevention, management, common meds, and their side effects.
Responsibilities:- Conduct detailed clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs
- Create, implement, and evaluate care plans
- Build relationships, manage discomfort, and stay professional in therapeutic connections with patients and families
- Help educate patients, families, nurses, and community members to empower them with knowledge for better healthcare choices
- Work with colleagues and community to create a care plan, delegate tasks carefully, and follow up promptly
- Use different strategies for problem-solving with patients, families, and staff, recognizing limitations and prioritizing safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care planning and delivery
- Grad of an Accredited Program in Nursing
- Minimum (1) one year (prefer 2 years) recent full-time Telemetry/EKG experience, knowledge of basic hemodynamics and cardiac medications (experience with cardiac drips preferred)
- Registered Nurse RN certification/license/registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer
