Job Summary:

Glovis EV Logistics America is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchasing:
  1. Purchase routine and non-routine office supplies: Ensure that all necessary office supplies are available and in stock.
  • Procurement:
  1. Research and select vendors: Identify and evaluate potential vendors to ensure that they meet our quality and specification requirements.
  2. Negotiate contracts: Work with vendors to negotiate contracts that meet our needs and budget.
  • Vendor Management:
  1. Monitor vendor performance: Regularly review vendor performance to ensure that they are meeting our expectations.
  2. Maintain client relations: Act as the primary point of contact for vendors and ensure that their needs are met.
  3. Provide customer service: Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
  • Property Insurance:
  1. Oversee property insurance policies: Ensure that all property insurance policies are up to date and meet our needs.
  2. Administer building/facility needs: Manage the maintenance of our facilities and ensure that all necessary repairs are completed.
  • General Affairs/Administrative:
  1. Assist with setting up work environments: Ensure that all new hires have the necessary equipment and supplies to perform their jobs.
  2. Create and broadcast company announcements: Communicate important information to employees and ensure that they are aware of company policies and procedures.
  3. Other administrative duties: Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by management.
  4. Collaborate with the Finance Department: Work with the Finance Department to prepare and submit purchase orders.
  5. Create and maintain records: Maintain accurate records of vendors and ensure that all necessary documentation is up to date.
  6. Coordinate with incoming team members: Assist new team members with obtaining necessary documents and services.
  7. Administer the Company's Auto Lease Program: Manage the company's auto lease program and ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed.
  8. Design and administer the Company's Internal Travel Program: Develop and implement a travel program that meets the needs of the company and its employees.
  • Budgeting:
  1. Recognize and maintain the company's budget: Ensure that the company's budget is accurate and up to date.
  2. Participate in annual business planning: Contribute to the development of the company's annual business plan.
  3. Submit requests for annual travel budget expenses: Request funding for travel expenses as needed.
  4. Monitor spending: Regularly review company spending to ensure that it is within budget.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Logistics, Supply Management, or related field: A degree in a related field is preferred.
  2. Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) certification: Certification is a plus.
  • Experience:
  1. At least 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, finance, sales, or related field: Experience in a related field is required.
  2. At least 1 year of experience in warehousing, logistics, or transportation: Experience in warehousing, logistics, or transportation is highly desired.
  3. Automotive logistics experience: Experience in automotive logistics is a plus.
  • Skills/Ability:
  1. Knowledge of property insurance and office management: Knowledge of property insurance and office management is required.
  2. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.
  3. Ability to multitask: The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment is required.
  4. Positive attitude and ability to work well with others: A positive attitude and the ability to work well with others is required.

Work Environment:

The Procurement Specialist will work in a fast-paced office environment and will be required to spend long periods of time sitting, typing, and working at a computer. The employee may be required to occasionally lift and transport items.

Salary Range:

The estimated base salary range for the Procurement Specialist is $55,700-$58,700.
