Job Summary

Eurofins USA Food Testing is seeking a highly skilled Sensory Science Program Leader to lead our sensory research team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering best-in-class sensory services, nurturing and growing key client accounts, and training and developing sensory panel leaders, technicians, and panelists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain superior customer relationships for satisfaction, loyalty, and business growth.
  • Design and recommend customized research solutions using our sensory research tools and capabilities.
  • Achieve financial goals and budget, including revenue, project profitability, and department costs and expenses.
  • Provide consultative research design expertise to each project.
  • Work with direct reports as their critical thinking partner, evaluating test design and cost estimates, reviewing final reports, and training and developing direct reports.
  • Continuously review methodologies and processes, championing new capabilities and opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and employee performance.
  • Develop and maintain a thought-leadership presence in the professional sensory science community.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional department heads to continuously improve and innovate standard operating procedures, expanding project profitability, client satisfaction, and protecting/enhancing our competitive point of difference in the market.
  • Collaborate with other units across Eurofins USA Food Testing, such as product development, processing, and pilot plants, chemistry, microbiology, etc., to deliver the best integrated research and development approach.
Requirements
  • Degree in Sensory Science/Food Science.
  • 5+ years of experience in sensory and consumer research or a related field.
  • Or a combined level of relevant advanced degree or experience.
  • Authorization to work in the US for any employer, indefinitely, without sponsorship.
