Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Development Leader to join our team in Cardiac Medicine and Surgery. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing programs for staff development, education, research, quality, and evidence-based practice.
Key Responsibilities:- Partner with Nurse Directors in Cardiac Medicine and Surgery to develop and implement programs that enhance staff competence and promote a culture of excellence.
- Lead the development and implementation of training programs to ensure staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
- Collaborate with interprofessional teams to design and implement programs that promote quality, safety, and patient-centered care.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Stay current with clinical research and best practices in cardiac medicine and surgery to ensure that programs and initiatives are evidence-based and effective.
- MSN or MS with a major in Nursing, or DNP or PhD with a major in Nursing, or a BSN with a Master's degree in a related field.
- 5 years or greater of cardiovascular/vascular nursing experience, with expertise in evidence-based practice, writing, research, and practice development.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office, with Epic skills preferred.
- Nights and weekends may be required.
- Works in office and patient care environments that require teamwork and cooperation.
