Independent Living Specialist

At Independent Living Choices, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Independent Living Specialist to join our team. As an Independent Living Specialist, you will work closely with individuals with disabilities to empower them to live independently and make informed choices about their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and advocacy to individuals with disabilities to help them access necessary resources and services.
- Conduct needs assessments and develop personalized plans to support individuals in achieving their goals.
- Collaborate with community partners and organizations to ensure seamless service delivery and coordination.
- Facilitate peer support groups, transition classes, and other activities to promote socialization and skill-building.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a human services or social work field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid South Dakota driver's license.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
