Job Title: Youth Treatment Specialist

Wisconsin Community Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Treatment Specialist to join our team at the Jefferson County Youth Crisis Stabilization Facility. As a key member of our specialized services program, you will play a vital role in providing therapeutic support to youth in a state-licensed residential care center.

Job Summary:

The Youth Treatment Specialist will work closely with youth, ages 13-17, to teach essential life skills, promote emotional regulation, and empower them to reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to youth, focusing on skill development, emotional regulation, and crisis management.
  • Implement daily schedules of activities, including group educational sessions, recreational activities, and community outings.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Monitor and document youth progress, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Participate in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to maintain a safe environment.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with youth, families, and community partners.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and quality improvement within the organization.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 21 years old (at least 2 years older than the oldest resident).
  • Flexibility to work a rotation of first and second shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Valid driver's license, automobile, and insurance sufficient to meet agency requirements.
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and driver's license check.
Working Conditions:

This role requires working in a state-licensed residential care center, with most activities taking place within the building and in the community. Local travel is required, and the ability to provide coverage as needed is essential.
