Job Summary:

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a skilled Communications Manager to join our team. As a Communications Manager, you will be responsible for developing and delivering communications that support release and change management activities across internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage communication of all release and change activities, including major releases, minor releases, out-of-cycle (OOC) releases, and ad hoc changes.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop and deliver targeted communications to both internal and external ASSIST users.
  • Create and manage Help Desk and Training materials.
  • Conduct internal knowledge transfer sessions and coordinate training for Help Desk representatives.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to change management and release communication processes.
  • Coordinate with technical, operational, and leadership teams to ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.
  • Identify key audiences and tailor messages to meet the needs of various stakeholder groups.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of communication strategies and recommend improvements.
  • Provide timely updates and manage communication timelines to ensure stakeholders are informed of release impacts, timelines, and status changes.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for release and change communication efforts.
  • Ensure that all communications are aligned with organizational policies, compliance requirements, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in change management, release management, or communications roles.
  • Strong understanding of IT change and release management processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical information into user-friendly content.
  • Experience creating SOPs and process documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills with experience working with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • Skilled in delivering effective training with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with GSA IT systems and environments is a plus.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science or equivalent work experience.
  • Security Clearance Level: Public Trust.
  • Location: Remote/Possible Occasional Travel.
