Core Responsibilities:
  • Conduct maintenance and repairs on diesel inboard engines
  • Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections on vessels
  • Assist in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
  • Be available for after-hours or emergency response
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of shop, building, and dock areas
  • Operate forklifts and cranes as needed
  • Support hurricane preparedness efforts

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documents

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid TWIC and Driver's License mandatory
  • State-issued boat operator permit necessary
  • Five years of relevant work experience or a two-year technical degree
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar, Cummins, and Yamaha engines is a plus
  • Knowledge of jet propulsion systems is beneficial
Physical Demands:
  • Capability to lift and maneuver heavy items
  • Ability to operate vehicles and work in varying weather conditions

  • Comfortable working at heights and in noisy settings
