Job Title: General Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Technician to join our team. As a General Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and repair of heavy trucks and equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, performing routine maintenance, diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical issues, and ensuring that all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, including electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Ensure that all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner, meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and support staff to ensure that all tasks are completed effectively and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in an automotive service-related industry and/or technical school certificate.
  • Clean driving record with a Class B non-exempt CDL driver license or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
  • Knowledge of repair principles and procedures in all areas of the Heavy Truck Repair Industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • EVT (Emergency Vehicle Technician) and ASE Heavy Truck Certifications a plus.
Physical Demands:

The employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk stairs and/or climb ladders. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
