We are seeking a highly motivated and caring Early Childhood Educator and Youth Support Specialist to join our team at the Coast Guard Community Services Command. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families.

About the Job:

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our experienced staff to provide exceptional childcare services, creating a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment that fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children. As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing educational programs, monitoring children's safety and well-being, and communicating effectively with parents and caregivers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement engaging educational activities and programs
  • Ensure children's safety and well-being during daily activities
  • Maintain accurate records of children's participation, attendance, and progress
  • Foster strong relationships with parents and caregivers through regular communication
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized childcare environment

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; early childhood education certification preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed
