Oncology Research Associate Position

Oncology Research Associate Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Oncology Research Associate to join our team at Yoh. As a key member of our interdisciplinary group, you will play a crucial role in identifying and validating novel targets and developing new chemical entities towards the clinic.
Responsibilities:
- Perform mammalian cell culture and proliferation/viability assays
- Extract RNA, DNA, and proteins from cell lines, preparing samples for downstream applications
- Design and execute RT-qPCR protocols
- Routinely run Western blotting and simple WES experiments
- Use CRISPR technology to engineer cell lines
- Design and conduct molecular and cellular biology experiments for compound screening or mechanistic pathway analysis using automation
- Collaborate with senior scientists and group leaders to design, develop, and execute experiment protocols
- Record data and results accurately and in a timely manner, presenting findings in a clear and concise format
- Upload biology data into our company database
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, with 5+ years of laboratory experience
- Experience in tissue culture of cancer cells is essential
- Basic laboratory skills in molecular and cell biology are required, with experience working with small molecules in a drug discovery setting highly desirable
- Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills are necessary
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
