About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Underwriting Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our business processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a primary point of contact for agents and brokers, providing timely and accurate information to support underwriting decisions.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of client interactions, including suspense and follow-up systems for outstanding underwriting items.
  • Verify and ensure the accuracy of information inputted into all relevant systems, including documentation and compliance standards.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, agents, and other key business partners to research and gather necessary information to review, analyze, and complete transactions.
  • Utilize and adhere to internal guidelines, procedures, and service standards to ensure timely and accurate processing of assigned work and transactions.
  • Participate in problem-solving activities to identify and resolve issues, and implement continuous improvement methodologies to improve processes and procedures.
  • Under the direction of underwriters, attach appropriate forms and make policy changes as requested.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients and employees across the organization.
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned to ensure efficient operation of the team and meet customer needs.
Requirements
  • US Work Authorization required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
