Position Overview

McFarland Johnson (MJ) is on the lookout for a motivated and skilled Senior Bridge Engineer to enhance our growing Transportation division in the Northeast. The ideal candidate will be part of our team, contributing to various bridge design and construction plan development projects for bridge rehabilitation and replacement in collaboration with State DOT and Municipal clients across the region.

Your Responsibilities:

With an impressive retention rate exceeding 95%, you will lead a team of esteemed professionals in bridge design and construction planning for various projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 8-12 years of experience in Bridge Design, Rehabilitation, and/or Inspection
  • PE registration is required; PE in Connecticut is preferred.
  • Experience with State DOT projects is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated Business Development experience is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a project team.
Compensation Details:

MJ is committed to ensuring fair and equitable compensation for all our valued employee-owners. The pay range provided is an approximation reflecting our good faith effort to present the anticipated salary range. Specific salaries may vary based on factors such as work location, relevant experience, educational background, licensure or certifications, and alignment with the requirements of the position.

Pay Range: $55-$70/hr excluding incentive compensation/profit performance plan.
