Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Summary
Nesco Resource is working with a client looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing domestic and international supplier audits, administering the APQP process, and holding suppliers accountable to our Quality Requirements Manual.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform domestic and international supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Administer the APQP process to ensure suppliers meet quality requirements.
- Hold suppliers accountable to our Quality Requirements Manual.
- Develop and implement supplier partner KPI/scorecard to improve quality performance.
- Evaluate suppliers for production awards and all aspects of supplier qualification.
- Assure quality performance and develop strong supplier relationships.
- Work with internal stakeholders to support the company's overall objectives and core values.
Requirements
- Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of Supplier Quality experience, including site audits, continuous improvement, APQP, lean problem-solving principles, and leading a team by example.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to identify process issues and drive improvements to improve operational efficiency and product quality.
- Developed problem-solving skills in RCA, RCCA, 8D, etc.
- Strong working knowledge of value-driven supplier KPI and scorecard development and implementation.
- Work directly with engineering and manufacturing regarding technical GD&T, and drawing standards training and review.
- Knowledge and experience with ERP systems and implementation.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- High level of integrity.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced start-up environment.
