Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Quality Clerk to join our team at Packaging Corporation of America. As a Quality Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products by performing various routine quality tasks, such as testing product quality, quality inspection, and communicating data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visual inspection of products to identify quality issues and communicate concerns to stakeholders
  • Operate measurement devices to gather data and ensure quality standards are met
  • Perform destructive and functional testing on selected products
  • Assist quality team with GMP/sanitation audits and communicate audit findings
  • Perform rework operation tasks, including inspecting corrugated for damages and quality mistakes
  • Perform essential computer functions to input and retrieve information from the system
  • Perform process capability studies and educate employees on quality expectations

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Ability to recognize numbers and number sequences
  • Capacity and willingness to work overtime on short notice during the week and on weekends
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously
  • Must be detail-oriented and accurate in work
  • Able to effectively and professionally communicate with production crews, supervisors, and managers
