Job Description

As a Mental Health Therapist II, you will be an integral part of our Adult Mental Health Services/Case Management Team II in Lansing, Michigan. Under the supervision of the Case Management Team II Coordinator, you will work as a member of an aftercare treatment and case management team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide case management and minimal outreach services to adults with serious and persistent mental illness.
  • Develop treatment plans using person-centered planning principles and provide evidenced-based practice therapy.
  • Carry out all activities of the program/sub-unit in a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI's mission, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • Possession of an appropriate State of Michigan credential is required, with LMSW preferred.
  • One year of experience working with persons with mental illness is required, or one academic year of graduate practicum/internship experience working with persons with mental illness is required.
  • Experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Co-occurring Disorder Treatment, along with Family Psychoeducation, is highly desired.
