Job Summary:

The Desert Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Trauma Program as a Trauma Process Improvement Nurse. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where you will be responsible for monitoring all aspects of care and ensuring that our trauma program meets the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the trauma program in monitoring all aspects of care and ensuring that our trauma program meets the highest standards.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and manage the performance improvement program.
  • Meet Riverside County Trauma Center Standards as well as JC and American College of Surgeons standards.
  • Comply with all state and federal regulations, corporate and hospital policy and procedures.
  • Manage patient information, promote teamwork and positive customer service.

Requirements:

  • Current California RN license.
  • Current American Heart Association BCLS certificate.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of five years trauma nursing experience (ED or ICU).
  • Knowledge of trauma statistical reports, peer review, performance improvement and injury prevention, epidemiology is an asset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ICU experience is preferred.
  • Ability to create and make data presentations to groups with varied needs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
