Job Overview

The Chief Technology Officer, referred to as the Operations Partner – Enterprise Technology Services (OP-ETS), plays a pivotal role in steering the strategic vision and management of technology operations within True Homes. This position encompasses the oversight of technology solution development and implementation, team management, and ensuring alignment of technology initiatives with business goals.

The OP-ETS collaborates closely with the Executive Partner – Enterprise Technology Services (EP-ETS), who governs the overall technology framework of the organization, to craft a cohesive technology strategy that supports a unified business plan. Additionally, the Ops Partner – ETS will engage with fellow Ops Partners and senior leaders on the Central Services Leadership team to define and execute comprehensive internal operational strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster team alignment and organizational culture.
  • Exhibit leadership that aligns with the True North Leadership Platform, which includes:
    • True Approach: Interactions with associates, trades, and strategic partners that consistently reflect the company's core values.
    • True Actions: Daily operations that embody the franchise philosophy, emphasizing resource stewardship, congruent leadership, operational excellence, and results-driven execution.
    • True Acumen: Generate enterprise value through client engagement, talent development, stakeholder relations, operational discipline, and financial performance.
  • Partner with the Executive Partner of Enterprise Technology Services (EP-ETS) to devise and execute a technology strategy that aligns with business objectives and fosters organizational growth and profitability.
  • Architect and manage the organization’s technology framework, ensuring security, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Recruit, guide, and mentor the technology teams within ETS, ensuring they possess the skills and resources necessary for successful project delivery.
  • Oversee the execution of technology projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality standards are met.
  • Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring resource allocation aligns with business objectives.
  • Guarantee compliance of technology systems and processes with industry regulations and standards, safeguarding against internal and external threats.

  • Technology Roadmap: Maintain a comprehensive technology roadmap for True Homes, detailing ongoing project statuses, timelines, and milestones achieved.
  • Budget Report: A detailed account of the technology budget and expenditures, identifying areas of overspend or underspend.
  • Project Status Report: Updates on defined enterprise value projects, including progress, challenges, and future plans.
  • Annual Security and Compliance Report: A report outlining the organization's compliance with regulatory requirements and data security measures.
  • Emerging Technology Report: Updates on emerging technologies that may influence the organization's technology strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in technology leadership roles.
  • In-depth understanding of technology architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Experience in managing technology teams and fostering talent development.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business acumen and comprehension of technology's role in business strategy.
  • Experience in managing technology budgets and vendor relationships.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards pertaining to technology.
