About the Position

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Residential Nurse to join our team at Lund, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening families and ensuring a safe and loving environment for Vermont children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive health plans for residents, including nutrition, childbirth, and general health needs.
  • Ensure timely communication and planning for health and medical information with residential staff.
  • Assess acute medical needs of clients and document medical/nursing assessment and intervention.
  • Coordinate clients' preventative and acute healthcare needs with obstetric, pediatric, and primary care providers.
  • Plan and implement a prevention-focused health curriculum and educational opportunities for clients.
  • Administer client medications and maintain accurate medication records.
  • Provide transportation and accompany clients to medical and dental appointments.
  • Complete required paperwork and coordinate medical discharge planning needs.
  • Provide individual education and support to parents in the healthcare of their infants/children.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited college/university with a nursing degree and current licensure as a registered nurse in Vermont.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field required.
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Valid VT Driver's License and access to reliable transportation.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations respectfully.
