Position Overview

Role Summary:

This role is integral to the patient care mission within the Interventional Radiology Lab, contributing to the flexibility of staff by collaborating effectively within a clinical team. The individual will be adept at delivering high-quality nursing care, ensuring precise medication administration and thorough documentation of procedures. Responsibilities include cross-training for hemodynamic monitoring and scrub assistance, along with providing both direct and indirect patient care aligned with departmental and organizational objectives.

The nurse will operate all relevant nursing equipment, as well as utilize computers and software essential for patient care and documentation. Active participation in the department's operations is expected, including managing and stocking supplies, maintaining an orderly work environment, assisting with patient transportation, and providing post-procedure care, all while upholding customer service standards.

Patient Care Competence:

Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of growth and development principles to perform procedures and assist in the care of patients across various age groups, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. A valid Registered Nursing (RN) License is mandatory prior to employment.

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Westover Hills is a 150-bed facility dedicated to serving a rapidly expanding community. Our specialized services encompass orthopedic and surgical care, intensive care, women’s health, newborn services, cardiovascular diagnostics and surgery, a vascular lab, sleep studies, emergency care, and various rehabilitation services.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma required. Must be a graduate of a diploma, associate (ADN), or baccalaureate (BSN) nursing program leading to a Registered Nursing (RN) License.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, along with basic computer proficiency, are essential. Previous training in Interventional Radiology and advanced computer skills are preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in an Acute Care hospital setting, specifically in intensive care, emergency care, or cardiovascular care, is required. Experience in Interventional Radiology is preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Current State Nursing License (RN) is required. Current BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory, with PALS and PEARS certifications preferred for pediatric settings.

Work Schedule: Per Diem As Needed
