Nurse Manager CVOR

ChristianaCare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as an Assistant Nurse Manager for the CVOR and Vascular Operating Room. About the Role:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate nurse leader who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the growth and development of our nursing team. As an Assistant Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting the Nurse Manager in the overall administrative direction of the clinical practice of nursing and delivery of high-quality and efficient care to all patients.
- Directly supervising nursing and technical personnel, assessing their proficiency, coordinating daily staffing and scheduling needs, evaluating staff performance, and counseling staff members when performance issues are identified.
- Participating in all hiring, promotion, salary adjustment, and termination decisions, and functioning as a highly visible role model, demonstrating quality expertise and professional behaviors that support professional development of staff and the strategic goals of CCHS.
- Identifying and developing strategies to improve the overall knowledge base and integrity of staff, directing, mentoring, and supporting all levels of staff on the floor, and identifying potential future leaders and engaging in succession planning.
- Analyzing administrative and operational functions, implementing appropriate changes, and system-wide improvements.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Nursing required. Master's required within 5 years.
- RN required. Operating Room experience required.
- 5 years of appropriate clinical and leadership experience.
- Current Certification required (CNOR certification). If selected, candidate will within six months of start date, successfully complete the professional certification.
The successful candidate may be eligible for a $25,000 sign-on bonus to be paid over a period of 24 months.
