Assistant Nurse Manager

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as an Assistant Nurse Manager in the CVOR and Vascular Operating Room at Christiana Hospital. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing administrative direction and oversight to the clinical practice of nursing, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and efficient care to all patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Nurse Manager in the overall administrative direction of the department
- Directly supervise nursing and technical personnel, assessing their proficiency and coordinating daily staffing and scheduling needs
- Evaluate staff performance, counsel staff members when performance issues are identified, and participate in hiring, promotion, salary adjustment, and termination decisions
- Identify and develop strategies to improve the overall knowledge base and integrity of staff, directing, mentoring, and supporting all levels of staff on the floor
- Identify potential future leaders and engage in succession planning, analyzing administrative and operational functions and implementing appropriate changes and system-wide improvements
