Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Court Representative to join our team at The New York Foundling. As a key member of our Alternative to Incarceration (ATI) program, you will serve as a liaison between our organization and the Supreme and Criminal Court systems within the five boroughs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a liaison between the ATI program and assigned courts, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Work with clients and their families to explain the program, obtain information, and assess family support and needs.
  • Complete intake with clients and families, utilizing knowledge of program and partner services.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with court stakeholders, including judges, legal guardians, and defense attorneys.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Sociology, or Psychology, or related field.
  • Bilingual applicants encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, data entry systems, and ability to work cooperatively with Sr. Court Representative and program staff.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Alternative to Detention (ATD), Alternative to Incarceration (ATI), or other advocacy program models.
  • Knowledge of Juvenile Justice and Supreme and Criminal Court systems.
