Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join our team in Newark, New Jersey. This is a 13-week travel assignment that requires the candidate to perform diagnostic imaging procedures using CT scanners.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a clinical radiographer with extensive experience in CT scanning.
  • They must hold a valid ARRT license and be registered in CT.
  • GE scanner experience is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Performing high-quality CT diagnostic imaging procedures on patients, adhering to departmental protocols and guidelines.
  2. Locating and recording internal body elements, identifying anomalies indicative of disease, injury, or other medically significant conditions.
  3. Adjusting equipment and calming patients to eliminate test artifacts.
  4. Monitoring patients for potentially hazardous physical and emotional changes.
  5. Evaluating test results for clarity and accuracy.
  6. Reviewing tests with peers and physicians, informing them of preliminary findings as needed.
  7. Distributing completed test results to physicians and service providers.
  8. Maintaining patient charts, entering diagnosis and billing codes, logging data into patient information systems, and updating file systems for tests performed.
  9. Cleaning and sterilizing equipment and workspace.
  10. Recognizing equipment malfunctions and adjusting or referring them for repair.
  11. Instructing patients in pre-test preparation, answering questions, and explaining procedures.
  12. Maintaining equipment according to Infection Control procedure.
  13. Maintaining technical competency through continued education and participation in Siemens training programs.
  14. Administering contrast agents under the guidance and approval of site Radiologists, following site-specific protocols.
  15. Maintaining current permits to practice in all states where services are performed.
  16. Performing equipment quality checks and troubleshooting problems.
  17. Calling for service and notifying relevant team members.
  18. FOLLOWING quality assurance guidelines and maintaining patient confidentiality.
  19. Performing additional duties as required.
