Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team at ChristianaCare's Newark Hospital Imaging Department. As a Diagnostic Imaging Professional, you will be responsible for performing all phases of CT Scan Testing on hospital in-patients and outpatients.

The ideal candidate will have complete knowledge and proficiency in the use of CT Scanner Units, with the ability to verify insurance pre-authorization as defined by departmental protocols prior to scanning patients.

About the Role
  • Perform diagnostic imaging exams as skills permit, including CT Scans, and perform clerical and scheduling duties as needed.
  • Assist in the learning process of students and new staff in department procedures, quality control, and radiation safety.
  • Administer contrast media under physician supervision, and demonstrate knowledge and ability to perform i-STAT testing and accurate calculation of GFR following established departmental policies and procedures.

This is a Weekend Incentive Position (WIP) with a day/evening shift – 1100-2330; 3 out of 4 weekends and every 3rd holiday requirement.
