Position: GM Certified Robotics Engineer

Summary:

The Robotics Engineer role is a hands-on technical position that involves the setup, programming, and troubleshooting of robotic systems. Candidates should possess a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience along with advanced technical knowledge and certifications. This role demands expertise in programming, industrial electronics, fieldbus systems, machine tooling, process engineering, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate self-motivation and technical proficiency to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Be prepared for flexible working hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays, due to the demands of the manufacturing sector.
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills within the workplace.
  • Complete necessary paperwork for customer and Staff Heads billing processes.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office applications effectively.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures set forth by Staff Heads.
  • Maintain reliable transportation for job-related travel.
  • Be open to extensive travel based on job assignments.
  • Preferred candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in robotics.
  • Load and adjust Offline Programs as needed.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to move around tooling, stand for extended periods, and climb ladders regularly.
  • Lift components weighing at least 25lbs when necessary.
  • Communicate any physical restrictions during the application process for appropriate accommodations.

Qualifications:

  • GRS Certification is mandatory.
  • Ability to support, manage, and mentor a small team of robot programmers.
  • Experience in downloading Offline Programs (OLPs).
  • Set up communication with PLC and peripheral devices (Devicenet/Ethernet/Profinet).
  • Configure robot zones and adjust dress packs.
  • Manage Robot I/O Configuration.
  • Conduct Robot Mastering, TCP verification, and Payload setup.
  • Perform Auto Debugging with PLC and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Implement cycle time reduction and throughput enhancement strategies.
  • Experience with various robotic applications such as Spot, Sealing/Dispensing, Stud, MIG, Riveting, Flow Drills, and Clinch Guns.
  • Familiarity with Vision systems is advantageous.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Complete all required daily or weekly tasks related to processing hours and expenses based on job needs.
