Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electronics Assembler to join our team at Smiths Interconnect. As an Electronics Assembler, you will be responsible for building and assembling electronic components and products using a variety of tools and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble electronic components and products using established procedures and work instructions.
  • Position and align parts in specific relationships to each other in jig or fixture when necessary.
  • Use soldering irons to solder small parts and components.
  • Perform in-process inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
  • Complete all assigned tasks with a high level of quality in a timely manner.
  • Comply with and ensure department compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read drawings, schematics, and process instructions.
  • Ability to use mechanical inspection tools, including calipers, micrometers, and thread gages.
  • Soldering experience preferred and/or ability to become J-Std certified within the first 30 days of employment.
  • Ability to assemble parts with various types of solder using hot plates and soldering irons.
  • Ability to perform basic mechanical assembly.
  • Ability to use hand tools to complete assigned tasks.
  • Ability to identify process problems and communicate effectively with peers and leaders.
