Position Summary:
RMF Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to enhance our York, Pennsylvania office. This role involves collaborating with a talented team of licensed professional engineers focused on designing infrastructure systems for clients in higher education, government, and healthcare sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design mechanical systems for substantial central heating and cooling facilities, including components such as boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and large piping systems.
2. Conduct engineering calculations including heat-mass balance, code compliance analysis, hydraulic modeling, energy assessments, and pipe stress evaluations.
3. Offer guidance and technical mentorship to team members, including other mechanical engineers and designers.
4. Independently manage design and analysis tasks for project submissions, which encompass drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and design narratives.
5. Coordinate design efforts and resolve design-related issues with project managers, team members, other engineering disciplines, and external design consultants.
6. Engage in construction administration activities, including attending construction meetings, reviewing shop drawings, conducting site visits, and documenting progress.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Proven leadership, teamwork, communication, and customer service abilities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Valid Professional Engineer's license.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering design and construction oversight.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit for Building Information Modeling.
- Experience in fieldwork and documenting existing engineering conditions.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with institutional infrastructure systems.
- Knowledge of ASME B31.1 Power Piping Code.
